Ember Window Cleaning ("Ember", "we", "us") operates https://www.emberut.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the way we handle enquiries by phone and text.
Who we are
Ember Window Cleaning is a window cleaning and exterior services company based in Taylorsville, Utah, serving the Salt Lake Valley and surrounding areas. We are a service-area business and do not publish a street address. You can reach us at (801) 259-8440 or info@emberut.com.
What we collect
We collect only what we need to quote and carry out work. Specifically:
- Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address and service address, plus details about the property — approximate pane count, number of stories, which services you want. You give us these through our online quote form, our website chat, or by calling or texting us.
- Conversation content. If you use the website chat, the messages in that conversation are processed to answer you, and are included in the enquiry we receive when you ask us to quote.
- Usage information. Standard analytics about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is collected through Google Analytics and Google Ads, described below.
We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identifiers, or any sensitive personal information through this website.
Why we use it
- To prepare and give you a quote, and to schedule and carry out work.
- To contact you about your enquiry or your service — by phone, text or email.
- To answer questions you ask through the website chat.
- To understand how our website and advertising are performing, in aggregate.
- To keep records of work done, and to meet tax and accounting obligations.
Advertising, analytics and call tracking
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Ads. These set cookies and collect usage information so we can see which pages and which ads bring in enquiries. Google may combine this with information it holds from your use of other sites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
We also use Google Ads call tracking. If you arrive from one of our ads, the phone number shown on the site may be replaced with a forwarding number so we can tell which ad produced the call. Calls to that number reach us normally. Google records that the call happened and basic details such as its length; we see this as conversion reporting, not as a recording of what was said. We do not record calls through this system.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We share it only with the service providers who make our business run:
- Rotor — our quote form and customer records system.
- Vercel — hosts this website.
- Anthropic — processes website chat messages so the assistant can answer you.
- Resend — delivers the enquiry email to our office.
- Telegram — alerts our team if an enquiry email fails to deliver, so your enquiry is not lost.
- Google — analytics, advertising and call tracking, as above.
- Trustindex — displays our Google reviews on the site.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety or property.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we are doing business with you and afterwards for as long as we need them for accounting, tax and legal purposes. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will.
Your choices
- Ask us what we hold. Call or email and we will tell you what we have about you.
- Ask us to correct or delete it. We will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Stop hearing from us. Tell us and we will stop contacting you about anything other than work already booked.
- Cookies. Your browser can block or delete cookies. Parts of the site may work less well if you do.

Texts and calls
If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may call or text you about your enquiry and your service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us, and we limit who on our team can see it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
