Window cleaning in Alta, Utah
Top of Little Cottonwood — lodge glass, deep snow, and a schedule that follows the canyon.
Alta is at the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon, and the glass here belongs mostly to lodges and mountain properties rather than houses. That means a lot of it: large windows, multiple storeys, and buildings designed so guests can look at the mountain from inside.
It is also some of the deepest snow country in the state. Exterior work follows canyon conditions here, and our team plans Alta around that rather than against it.
Why Alta windows get dirty
- Heavy snow and wind. Storm after storm leaves a film on mountain glass that has nothing in common with valley dust.
- Lodges carry a great deal of glass. A commercial mountain property can have more window area than a street of houses, at heights that need the right equipment.
- A limited working season. Exterior cleaning up here happens when the canyon allows, which is the single biggest factor in planning it.

See the full plan details. The published twice-a-year guidance is written for an average home in an average year, and Alta is neither; guest-facing glass wants more than that, scheduled to the season. Here is what the manufacturers recommend.

Frequently asked questions
Do you work with lodges and commercial property up here?
Yes. Larger properties start with one service and no agreement in place, so you can see the work first, and move onto a 12-month agreement after that if it is a fit.
How do you schedule around the canyon?
Around conditions rather than a fixed date. Our office will tell you what is realistic for the season instead of booking a day that the weather may take back.
Can you reach the high glass on a multi-storey lodge?
Usually, yes — water-fed poles reach a great deal of it from the ground. Where a building needs something else, our team will say so when they scope it rather than improvising on the day.
