These terms apply when you request a quote from, or book work with, Ember Window Cleaning ("Ember", "we", "us"), and when you use https://www.emberut.com. By asking us for a quote or booking a service, you agree to them.
Quotes and pricing
- Quotes are free and carry no obligation. Figures given on this website, in our website chat or over the phone are estimates until confirmed by our team.
- Window cleaning is priced by pane count and by how many stories the building is at its tallest side. A pane is each separate piece of glass, so a window with a top and bottom section counts as two.
- Our team confirms the exact figure after reviewing the property. If what we find differs materially from what was described, we will tell you before we start.
- Nothing lands on your invoice you didn't say yes to. We may suggest add-on services on site; they are only ever added with your approval.
- Some services are quoted in person because they cannot be priced sight unseen.
Scheduling and access
- We will agree a date with you. Exterior work depends on weather, and canyon and mountain work depends on conditions and access — we will tell you honestly when a date is not realistic rather than book one we cannot keep.
- You do not usually need to be home for exterior work. You do need to give us safe access to the property, including gate codes or entry instructions where they apply.
- Please let us know about dogs, alarms, delicate landscaping, or anything else on the property we should work around.
- If we cannot access the property on the agreed date and were not told in advance, we may need to reschedule.
Our guarantee
If anything isn't right, we come back and fix it. If you're still not happy, we refund you.
Tell us within a reasonable time of the visit and we will come back. This is our satisfaction guarantee and it applies to any visit.
7-Day Rain Guarantee
If rain spots your windows within seven days of a plan visit, we come back and re-clean at no charge. This is a plan member perk on Ember Glow Quarterly and Fire Monthly only. It does not apply to Ember BiAnnual or to one-time cleans, and it is tied to the plan rather than to any particular property.
Hard water removal
Hard water removal is the one service we do not guarantee results on. How much mineral staining comes off depends on how severe and how old the buildup is, and nobody knows until removal is attempted. Our success rate is very high and treated glass always looks better than it did, but staining that has etched into the glass may not come out completely. We will tell you what we are seeing as we work.
Plans
- Plan pricing is per visit and depends on your pane count and stories, the same as any other quote.
- Plan perks — including free hard water removal, Glow Protection and the 7-Day Rain Guarantee — apply to the plans they are listed against and not to others.
- Member discounts are applied by our office when your quote or invoice is prepared.
- Tell us if you want to change or end a plan and we will sort it out with you.
Payment
Payment is due as agreed on your quote or invoice. If something on an invoice is not what you expected, call us before paying it and we will go through it with you.
Property and damage
We are licensed and insured. We take care with floors, furniture and landscaping and we clean up before we leave. If we damage something, tell us and we will make it right.
Some things are beyond our control and we cannot accept responsibility for them: glass that is already cracked, chipped or under tension and fails during cleaning; seals that have already failed; screens that are already brittle or damaged; and defects in the building itself. Where we can see a problem before we start, we will point it out rather than work around it silently.
Website chat
The assistant on this website is a virtual assistant, not a person. It can answer questions about our services and pass your details to our office, but it cannot book work, confirm a price, approve a discount, or commit us to anything. Every quote is confirmed by our team.
